Yeah buddy! The Roots are coming, The Roots are coming and we're stupid, dope excited! The band is scheduled to appear at the 2011 South Carolina State Fair on October 22.
The band was formed in the late 80's by lead MC, Black Thought. The band includes seven other members, including ?uestlove. We love ?uest because he's only like the sickest drummer EVER! Yeah...he's sicker than Trav Barker! The Roots have released 12 studio albums with a 13th scheduled to release this year.
The Roots can be categorized as a "conscience" rap band. Some of their most popular hits include, "You Got Me" and "Break You Off", but there are so many more! That's why we are so freakin' excited! It's very rare that these types of acts come to Columbia, South Carolina and when they do we hardly hear much about it.
